Recently, the X account of Andy Ayrey, founder of Truth Terminal, was hacked, and the attacker attempted to promote a new token, earning over $600,000 in less than an hour.
Truth Terminal, an AI chatbot created by a New Zealand researcher this past summer, has catapulted Ayrey into cryptocurrency millionaire status. Ayrey has attracted investor attention with recent trading activity, and he’s also been a figure in community discussions.
However, this time, he’s in the spotlight due to a significant cyber attack rather than any high-profile trade or speech.
Hacker Earns $602,500 in Cyber Attack
According to Lookonchain, a hacker accessed Ayrey’s account and made $602,500 in under an hour by posting about a token named IB. The hacker then liquidated all assets and carried out a major sell-off, causing the token’s price to plummet nearly 98%, reducing its market value to $500,000.
Recently, Andy Ayrey announced that he had regained control of his X account and warned followers that the hacker had accessed his account by attacking his mobile service provider. However, his account still appears to be sending suspicious messages, indicating it may not be fully secure yet.
